Creativity in All its Forms
Some of my previous creative projects
The Blue Room
Interior Design and Machined Quilting
Designing for Other People
The Blue Room was designed to make use of items of furniture already owned by my client, and uses painting and stencilling to tie different pieces together. The wardrobe was removed to make room for the desk, and to give the room a more spacious feel. Hanging space was created using ceramic, decorated cupboard door handles on a dado rail. The small white lamp was renovated from torn pink, and the memory quilt made from old shirts. It is machine quilted with the patchwork also done on the sewing machine.
Mosaic Making
A Selection of My Previous Mosaics
Bucket List
My bucket list used to be the materials I was looking for to make the next mosaic. (Named after the black bucket where I gathered the tiles for the upcoming project.) I worked as Mosaic Maker, going in to schools and art groups, teaching mosaic making.
English Narrowboats
English narrowboats are so pretty, and a wonderful addition to the quaint and quirky Britishness that I love. They take a lot of work to look after, but I've enjoyed re-painting the bow and hatches (the pretty bits) on my narrowboat.
My Allotment
Plot 3
The Allotment - My Happy Place
A few years ago, I started renting an allotment. Plot 3 is not just about growing vegetables and bee-friendly flowers, but it is also a creative space. I spent a huge amount of lockdown here, transforming a muddy patch of weeds into a lovely place to bee. Buzzzzzzz.
Before and After
I grafted like a good 'un. Then nature did the rest.
